The Purdy Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter proudly took 14 students to compete in the Region 11 STAR Events on Monday, January 20, at East Newton High School. Several students earned top honors, with four advancing to the FCCLA State Leadership Conference.

Purdy FCCLA is also celebrating the leadership achievements of its members. On Tuesday, January 28, at the Region 11 FCCLA Officer Elections in Carthage, Missouri, Makenna Willis was elected Vice President of Community Service, and Pablo Alvarez was chosen to represent Region 11 as a State Officer.
The Purdy chapter also recognizes the dedication of Keele Allen-Thorpe, who has served as the Region 11 Reporter and represented the school with excellence.
