Ludi Venegas, Grace Logan, Nevaeh Ellrick, Randy Rueda, and Jayden Griffis showcased their exceptional talents and skills at the Missouri State Career Development Conference for Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG), a platform known for fostering career readiness and leadership among students. The stakes were high, with the top three contenders in each event earning the coveted opportunity to compete at the national level against JAG schools across North America.
Grace Logan's outstanding performance in the Outstanding Chapter category earned her a well-deserved spot at the nationals in April, showcasing her leadership and organizational prowess. Ludi Venegas narrowly missed the top three in financial literacy by just one point but still secured a place at the national competition due to exceptional performance and default selections.
Randy Rueda, Nevaeh Ellrick, and Jayden Griffis faced fierce competition, having to excel within the top twenty in the state just to enter their respective categories. Randy showcased his employability skills, Nevaeh excelled in Career Preparation and PBL (Project-Based Learning), and Jayden displayed creativity and critical thinking in PBL and Creative Decision Making.
Their journey at the state conference not only highlighted their individual strengths but also emphasized teamwork, determination, and resilience in the face of tough competition. Their success at the state level and qualification for nationals reflect their dedication to personal and professional growth, as well as their readiness to represent their school and state on a broader platform. These students are not only participants but also future leaders in their chosen career paths, embodying the core values of JAG and setting high standards for themselves and their peers.
